If you already have the helping hands, Gateway can provide the part that's harder to do yourself: the transportation, moving equipment, and logistics to get your belongings from Point A to Point B. That's a Gateway Micro Move.
A Different Way to Move
Traditional moving, rethought.
Traditional movers combine moving labor and transportation into one service. That's great when you need both. But what if you can handle the labor? Maybe you've got family or friends ready to help. Maybe you're comfortable loading and unloading yourself. What you're missing is the right vehicle, equipment, transportation, and a plan for getting everything there. That's the gap Gateway fills.

What Does a Micro Move Cost?
Clear pricing. No hidden fees.
Standard Micro Move
$275
One 4-hour moving block + the first 30 move miles.
- The four-hour block begins when Gateway arrives at the first pickup location.
- Mileage is calculated from the first pickup location through the final delivery location. The first 30 miles are included.
- Additional mileage: $1 per mile beyond 30 miles.
Need More Time?
Sometimes a move needs more time than expected. If your four-hour block is running out, you have two options:
Add Time — $75 per hour
If you only need another hour or two, you can add time at $75 per additional hour.
Add Another 4-Hour Block — $225
If you know you'll need more time, you can add another four-hour block for $225. That gives you four additional hours for the price of three.
Additional time is always a conversation, not an automatic charge.
As your original four-hour block gets close to ending, Gateway will talk with you about where the move stands. You decide whether it makes sense to add an hour, add two hours, or take advantage of the discounted four-hour block.
Crossing the four-hour mark does not automatically trigger an additional charge.

Ready when we arrive.
The best Micro Moves happen when the customer is prepared and Gateway handles the hard part. A few simple things help the day go smoothly:
- Belongings should be packed and ready.
- Sufficient helping hands should be available to safely load and unload.
- Tell us about stairs, elevators, long walking distances, parking restrictions, loading docks, gates, unusually large / heavy / fragile / difficult-to-move items, or other access and logistics issues in advance.
- Building elevator reservations, parking permissions, and access arrangements should be handled before Gateway arrives.
You do what you can. We handle what you can't.
Need Help Packing?
Reusable moving bins.
Gateway rents reusable 27-gallon moving bins as an optional add-on — not included in the $275 Micro Move price. Rent bins before your move, pack on your own schedule, have everything ready for moving day, and Gateway retrieves the bins when you're finished.

We review each move before accepting it.
Gateway does not define fit by bedroom count. Before accepting a Micro Move, we look at what is being moved, the pickup and delivery locations, access at both ends, the helping hands you have available, and the overall logistics.
If Gateway's model fits, we help put together the plan. If you would be better served by a traditional moving company, we will tell you that too. The goal isn't to sell more moving service than you need; it's to help find the right way to get the job done.
